Annual Appeal

Your help is needed to raise money for Cornerstone Wellness Center and for the other programs of Strongest Link AIDS Services.

Our campaign period is short, ending August 31, 2009.

This year we are focusing our request on Cornerstone Wellness Center.  Cornerstone provides clients from all over the North Shore with a safe and supportive environment to enjoy holistic therapies (acupuncture & massage therapy), case management, educational programs and nutritional services which consist of consultations with a nutritionist, daily community meals (breakfast & lunch), and access to a food bank of nutritious groceries once a month. The goal of the wellness program is to increase client’s skills and knowledge so that they can improve their overall health and well-being; however, the real gem of the program is the opportunity it provides for peer support between clients. HIV can be a very isolating disease and at Cornerstone people have the opportunity to interact with other folks who are often dealing with similar issues. It’s a space where people can let their guard down and talk about how living with HIV impacts their lives and they can also kick back and talk about sports, movies or the weather.

Your tax-deductible donation to Strongest Link AIDS Services will help to fund Cornerstone Wellness Center or any of the other life-changing programs that help our clients.  The funds raised will ensure that our food and nutritional programs, our comprehensive case management and advocacy services, our utility and rental assistance programs, and our greatly needed youth prevention/education program, focusing on our 10-20 year old children, will continue and grow.
